Robertson Raven Styk
« on: May 13, 2013, 11:40:00 AM »
I've done a search but not many comments. Anyone have one? Any feedback? I've owned their recurves in the past and IMO they are top shelf in looks and performance. I especially like their grip. I've "got the fever" and been looking at the Raven Styk on their site.

Thanks
Kyle

After I bought my first one two years ago I had to get a second. Both are smooth ,quiet, have a fantastic grip and are gorgeous.Dicks bows are my favorites and I own too many of them.Dick's bows possess a natural beauty that is not overdone or gaudy.Just received one of his wolfer bows and it is awesome as well. The ravenstyk is a winner, if you like his fatalstyk you should like the ravenstyk.

I received an email from them a couple of weeks ago stating that the Raven Styk had been discontinued from their line. I had been eying them for some time.  Bummer.

That's disappointing! The two I have are the best shooting bows I own ,guess I'll have to be very careful with them.

TradLab,
Care to post pics of your Ravenstyk's. I'd like to see an assembled pic if possible. Also, it would be great to see your Wolfer and your input on that too.

Thanks
Kyle

Kyle ,I'm pathetic when it comes to this technology. I,ve never posted a picture but when my son gets home later I'll see if he can help me.As far as the wolfer you can see a picture of it on the stykbow facebook . Dick has several pictures of two wolfers side by side. One is myrtle and one is red, I have the myrtle one.It is a cool little bow.Fantastic grip, solid feel, smooth and fast. Love the two piece design, quick solid assembly.Awesome bow !

I do not doubt what you say, but it surprises me that someone building bows for so long would have problems hitting weight so much that He discontinues a model.  :dunno:

I am just saying that one of the reasons was because of the time it took get it where it supose to be. Reguargless why they no longer make that model.

I have (had) 2 Ravenstyks.  I just sold them both on the classifieds.  I only sold them because I thought I would be able to get a new one when my situation turned around.  Now I'm feeling pretty dumb.  But they are awesome bows.  They have a recurve style riser which is cut past center.  This combined with the R/D longbow style limbs is a great way to get the best of both worlds.  Quick, quiet and very shock free.  And the Robertson's are great people to deal with.   [/IMG]
