Wow.  I cannot believe your goal...I have been thinking about the same thing  for over a year now.  It must be us 51 year olds....yup 1961 too.

 Something about carrying a handmade tool made when I was born and the two of us coming together 50 years hence, killing an animal as one, seems like karma.

And you did it!   Outstanding-- congrats.  Was it an amazing feeling?
