My Dad and Don from Pa and Ron from Jersey and me. Its not about the big deer its more about the quality of the hunt and time spent with good friends and family. We also go to the ocean and do some fishing. My good friend Ron also has a boat. I have a great time every year I go. Jersey dosen't have the quality of deer we have in Iowa but I go their to get some killing out of the way and get the season kicked off a month early. That way I'm good and ready for the season in Iowa. Iowa early bow season don't start till Oct 1.

I grew up hunting giant 'braska whitetails, but I lived in NJ for 5 years.  The deer are smaller but they are everywhere, and there is some excellent public ground if you look for it.

Hunt deeeep south jersey for real deer.  Parts of Salem county will make you feel right at home being from Iowa.  There is some beautiful country hidden amongst the smoke stacks and nasal accents.
