Was at the archery shop near my home this last weekend shooting in the indoor range that has no black fly or mosquitoes , and I took a break to look around the shop .
Found a early 70s Bear Super Kodiak 48 , 40# @ 28 in near perfect condition . I thought it would be perfect for my wife that is 5 foot and has a 23" draw .
I have tried for quite some time to get her a new bow but she just didn't want one , she said " her Bear Cub was just fine . "
Went home and told her I found the perfect bow for her but as usual she wouldn't go . I kept asking her to at least look at it and finally she agreed but said " we weren't going to buy it . "
Got to the shop , had it strung up and I had her arm guard and glove with me as well as her arrows and said " might as well shoot it . "
She shot it for about 10 min. and I said " well lets go home " as I reached for the bow . She had the same look on her face I had when I found my Bear TD and pulled it back behind her and said " Don't touch my bow ." Well I don't have to tell the rest ; did have to make a new Flemish twist string later cause she didn't like the string that came with it . That kinda made my day .
