Wood arrows, other than the standards
« on: May 23, 2013, 08:48:00 AM »
There is a gentleman on this site that offers wood shafts made from unusual woods. Leopard wood and red something or other. He has a nice web page, I've been there just forgot to bookmark it.

Any one know who I'm taking bout and what the site is?

Just google "leopard wood arrows" and I think you will find a couple of sources.

Found em. Thanks

Anyone know a good source for ash?
How about a barrel taper?

I shot some in the past. My draw length is now too long for my current stock. Im thinking bout moving from alum. back to wood arras. I just hate breaking shafts. Especially behind the point ,drives me bonkers...

My go to source for non-cedar shafts is Allegany Mountain Arrow Woods.  I've gotten some very nice douglas fir from Wapiti, but nothing exotic.
