thumb sucking
« on: June 11, 2013, 09:02:00 AM »
Well, I went up to my 'elk hot spot' this week end.  Here  is a picture  of me sucking my thumb standing on the stump that was (for 10 years) my best tree stand tree.     .. 4 elk and 2 deer were shot from this tree!

Bummer.  Hurts to lose a good stand.  Lots of logging going on in my area over the past 10 years.  Lost a lot of tree stand sites because of it.  Forced me to explore some new country though, and am doing just as well on it.  Good luck.

I hear that . A couple of years ago I went to my honey hole and every tree was cut for about 5 square miles./ just dirt and slash left of one of the best dark timber spots I ever found. I even buried my dog there I loved that spot so much. I did find his grave and stacked a few more stones on it.
God bless, Steve
