Cat wisker users.........
« on: June 12, 2013, 11:57:00 AM »
Ive been shooting these now for about a year and they have really grown on me.  Im looking for material to build more/my own.....ruber and or silicone,  different colors maybe.....where is a good place to get this stuff other than maybe purchasing spinner bait skirts and customizing them?  :wavey:

I have and still use bike inner tubes that I cut into rings then half hitch them to my string. Slide them to were they work the best. Cut the loops or use sissors to make multiple strands. They work great and 1 inner tube will make quite a few pair.

A big "Thank You" to a couple very generous fellow Trad Gangers who offered to send me some material to whip up some wisker silencers!  Awesome! Guess I have it covered now!
Great people here.....always willing to help in any way they can!   :campfire:

For future reference. I like the "Reptile Tape Rubber". Make really cool looking silencers.

Inside of Bungie cords, just cut off what you need and take off covering

Jan's netcraft is a good source too.  Mixing colors makes for some cool silencers. Serving them on with braided fishing line or dental floss has worked best for me.
