this isn't to get into it with everyone but only the people who have actually KILLED deer or even pysically used them should offer opinions,, too many new people have been led a stray on the broadheads we used 20-30yrs ago and the truth of the matter is most of them do hold their place in the success category and even though we do have a awesome selection of heads now I'm not going to start throwing the old timers under the bus because the new latest and greatest things came along.
TRO CAR was, is, and always will be, a cut on contact head! it will work fine with a 45# and even a 40# bow same as a thunderhead has killed so many deer with trad and 180fps old round wheel 45# compounds. just make sure you can hit decent,,, so if you hit the ball of shoulder and the deer runs off with the arrow hanging out of the shoulder it wasn't the trocar or chisel point or silverflame's fault it was the shooter, ha ha ha..
and me personally I don't shoot them anymore and prefer more traditional heads but before the internet came along I've killed enough deer with a 45# bow using autumn orange 2114's with muzzy, thunderhead that they do work fine.. back then there wasn't much of a selection at the big store though so now I do agree with folks above that there is other choices for sharp heads right from the pack even COC like stingers which are simply awesome heads that I wish came in 200gr, even the Muzzy SS's but they need to be stropped a bit for better sharpness, even those funky COC grim reapers might work.. but with everything that was said I'd personally pick the stingers.
