Do any of you guys wear chest protectors for hunting that target archers use? If so, what brand? Seems like a good way to keep bulky clothes out of the way.
Thank you

I would "try before you buy"... You probly won't need one!!! (jmho)
Shooting a "traditional" style bow, one usualy cants thier bow in aprox the 1-2 o'clock position. This should bring your string, somewhat up under your armpit, and not acrossed your chest.
I've never used one, I don't like things around my chest that prevent me from opening up my clothing to ventilate if I get overheated.
Just one old woodchucker's thoughts...

Target shooters typically anchor on the middle of the chin bringing the string closer to the chest. Most trad hunters anchor on the side pf the face, putting a little more distance between the string and the chest. Usually chest clearance isn't a problem, unless your coat is just huge.

I wear one. I have an anchor that's lower than most and if I have on heavy clothes I often hit my chest. If my stance is very closed I hit it no matter what I'm wearing. I bought the cheapest one I could find and it works fine.

If you have trouble with your bowstring catching on our clothing then go for it. Only you know what your needs are.
My bowstring can catch on the button of my bib overalls and cause an embarrassing miss even at close range. I either wear a close fitting vest over it in the fall or unbutton and tuck the bib away in the summer.
