Show me your backquiver positioning

Show me how your backquiver sits on your back.I am looking for a quiver that does not sit at a low angle but one that sits with the arrows closer to the head but not completely vertical,also tell me the maker or if it is one of your own. I saw a Creger that looks nice,soft leather but do not know if it sits that way.Thanks for any input.Lou

I bought the wyandott expediation kit quiver from three rivers and made it. I put the top strap in the appropriate holes to hand over my right shoulder and use the bottom holes on the opposite side. The quiver hangs between my right side of my neck and my right shoulder.If you do decide on the wyandott kit go and get a couple sets of leather shoe laces[72"] and  use them instead of what they give in the kit.

I can't use a quiver that has the arrows slanted too far off my shoulder.  I like one that carries them as you describe. This quiver was made by Dave Wallace of Marietta, Ohio (IBO World longbow champ and outstanding longbow maker).  The strap is dead center of the quiver body on top and to the side (top side) on the bottom.

Even those old vintage quivers can be comfortable too, so don't discount them.

Here is Mike's Archery Leather, Howard Hill style quiver. I also do not like my arrows hanging way off to the side of my shoulders. I can easily tuck this under my arm if I have to duck under brush.

My hill styled quiver can ride either way you mention...if I tighten the strap and position it just to the side of my head it will stay there...and if I loosen the strap and let it lay more towards my shoulder it does that too.  They never stay absolutely still so you will have to get familiar with reaching back with bow hand to position the bottom to influence location at top when drawing an arrow anyhow.  It is more about familiarity and finding what is comfortable to you than anything else.

I changed where my strap attached on my Howard Hill quiver so the arrows would be closer to my head. It's positioned just about the same as bicster's.

Made my own.  Made a paper one first with pins holding it together until I could adjust it just the way I wanted it to sit.

Use your bow hand (bow in hand)  to lift the quiver up as you reach for an arrow with your non bow hand. Tuck it under your arm when going thru brush. You'll figure it out. Feathers to the rear.
