putting together a order for my coming buffalo and would like to know how many strand the buffalo string contains in order to pick the correct brass nock.....

With the stock string you can use the brass nick with the black rubber inside.

what a tie on nock

is it a piece of strand that you tie on the string?

I have been using tie on nocks for around 20 years,back when I started shooting traditional bows.Tie on nocks don't require pliers to put them on.Won't scratch your bow.Easier on gloves or tabs.You don't even really need a bow square to locate the nock height.Just mark you string with tape and see if your height is right,then just tie on your nock.I like to use two tie on nocks,one above and one below.
