A great time at "Muddville"
« on: June 21, 2013, 08:17:00 AM »
Staying sharp for the hunt and kill.

It all started Wednesday evening when Butch come up and Nick showed for a great time of shooting at flame.(candle shoot)

The candle's flame was snuffed quite a few times but there were more close calls than anything.

All in all... some pretty good shooting.

I wish I had thought to try for some pictures.(oh well!)

The fun started all over again Thursday moring when Cobweb showed up. Now we had 4 shooters ready to let'em fly.

A longbow festival...of sorts..lol

Looks like a nice shoot with friends.  I wish I had a "Longbow Tree" like that growing in my yard!   And some poor guy from the Highway Dept. is saying "Now what happened to all our cones??"  Nice pics!  Hey, where are their "special hats"?  Or are they just Merry Men candidates?  Cheers

It was a very good time. Every two or three months I feel the need to head for Mudville & get rejuvenated. Spiritually as well as the archery aspect. To top it all off, I get to see my friends. That's a hard combination to beat. Met a new friend while I was there. Nick. Very nice young man that Mudd has taken under his wing. He seems to be a natural with a stick bow. He even seemed to have a good time hanging around us old men!
God Bless

Butch as a former Mayor of "Muddville" and most likely still mayor(no one else seems to want the job) would you please at least learn how to spell it?....lol

"Muddville" is a very unique place... be cause once a year it is temporarily moved from Ashland to Marshall Missouri during the annual MoBoJam held there on the coolest weekend of the month of July(3rd weekend, mark your calendars)

MoBoJam is the one place you can have about as much fun as with your clothes on. Sometimes it ain't a whole lot of clothes but most of the important stuff gets covered... not that it helps much if your following the "Fireman" and his water wagon. It's enough to make the children scream and go running to their mommas'...lol

OOppsss!  Danged rabbit trails...lol

God bless,Mudd

Mudd,
I sincerely apologize for my lapse of brain power. I have no excuse. I will beat my knuckles with a ruler 15 times.

ps. you could probably find a better mayor, if the constituents were of a higher class!
