The Wait Begins " New Zipper Zipstick "
« on: June 23, 2013, 08:04:00 PM »
I was lucky enough to visit my good friends Bill & Tracy Dunn at Zipper Bows this weekend. As many of you know I'm crazy about Zipper's.

Here is what Bill & I came up with. Cocobolo and Bocote riser, with Curly Koa veneers. 60" 52@28" I even decided to order a matching quiver. Now the tough part, waiting to see what comes out of these boards !!!     :banghead:

Man, I really love the Zipstick and know you are gonna dig it.  That is some phenomenal looking cocobolo!

Even though I went with a pretty non-carbon stick and the plan was not for it to be my hunting bow, I think it is going with me in the woods this fall.  The grip and weight is perfect and it is very quiet with a nice cast.  It's sometimes hard to explain, but that is the bow I always pick to shoot.

For treestand hunting thinking of going to a 56" carbon "uglystick" with a little more poundage with squared off ends and scrap wood.  I don't think Bill was too thrilled with my pitch using the name "uglystick."   :D

Post up the pics when its done!

Will,
I love the look of your B&W Ebony Zipstick. Bill has some amazing B&W Ebony in stock.    Was considering using it,but decided to do something a little different.
