Thoughts on the ******** Apex?
« on: June 24, 2013, 02:02:00 PM »
Gents,

I am considering the purchase of an ILF. Never owned one. The closest I have come was a Dalaa.

What are your thoughts on the Apex? Any big differences between the Apex and Pinnacle II?

Just looking for a different flavor, and a bow that my sons can use as they grow older.

THANKS!

Big Jim Buffalo 51# @ 29".

I own both models you mentioned, those risers are solid and well made and will work as good as the limbs you put on them. But for just a little more than what an apex costs you can get a Dryad riser that is much nicer!

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I was gonna buy an Apex, talked to a couple of guys on here who had one, they liked them, can't remember who it was.  I wound up with a Maddog longbow, love it, turns out it was more my style.
Maddog Mountaineer 57# and Prairie Predator 52# Wow!, Samick Sage 35 - 60#,  I'm learning.

Yes, I suppose you can do that with a Dalaa. I am just trying some new bows. I like the ILF concept. Something I can # down and let my younger sons use. I am leaning toward wood as well. The Dalaa was a bit heavy.
