Yes, I have read it....loved it.  It's really a great read--much more than just a lot of hunting stories though it has some great ones. It's about life.  The author is very transparent in sharing his victories and defeats. You will be touched by some of the material.
The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Charlie Lamb's book was great as well. I read both last week while on vacation.

I have four all time favorite bowhunting writers...

Jay Massey

Don Thomas

Fred Asbell

and...

Jay Campbell

The book you mentioned is tough to put down without reading it all at once.  I forced myself to read only one chapter per day...and then read it again.  Jay's book is that good.

I liked it! Jay is a really nice guy. I have only met him and his wife a couple of times, but they are very enjoyable folks to know.
