Got it on line for 100 bucks and I'm waiting on the mail to come. It's a 55lb draw Shakespeare Kaibob x-27.......I'll post picks when it gets here. Anyone know about this particular bow ?????

Really nice old bow. I believe Ernie Root was involved in their development. He knew what he was doing.

I shot a friend's Shakespeare Super Necedah, made in the 1960s, nice,  Shakespeare's have a rep. for being good bows.  There's a member who collects them, his site is Shakespearearchery.blogspot
Maddog Mountaineer 57# and Prairie Predator 52# Wow!, Samick Sage 35 - 60#,  I'm learning.

My bow finally came home, now I have to pick some arrows and broadheads. My measured draw length is 28" or 28 1/2" depending on my form so I'd be cutting down arrows some ?
I'd like to use a VPA Terminator 3 blade, not sure of what weight would work best. I'm not going to have heavy inserts so my tip itself will have to be 200+ to get my total weight upwards or mid 550grains, while having a good FOC. I would like to use carbon shafts with feathers though instead of wood or aluminum. My game will be whitetail, turkey and small game, maybe a coyote if one happens to walk by  :)
