good practice

Shot a 3D target tonight for the very first time with my self bow. Wow! The confidence boost is huge. I was frustrated not knocking the center out of a bullseye but the 3D shows me that I would in fact be killing with nearly every shot or just a clean miss. Best night shooting so far!!! Anyone else feel that way?

absolutely. Both types of shooting can be beneficial. But 3D is the best confidence booster there is! Keep up with it

3-D is the best practice IMO, BUT you still need to focus on a small spot. The draw back to shooting 3-D is it can lead to "zone shooting" which is a very bad habit to fall in to.

It's easy to start shooting at "vitals" instead of concentrating on putting that arrow exactly where it goes. The old aim small miss small.

I hear ya. Im gonna paint some small light colored spots on it to represent a small patch of hair to shoot at.
