Another quick update:
Because of continued torrential rains (another ten inches in five days last weekend), a lot of work to be done has been delayed. However, over one hundred pear, persimmon, and oaks were delivered this morning to be planted next week in the game fields in the upland (pines) areas of the property.  A backhoe will be moving in on Monday to clear a seventeen acre field for hog and deer plantings. Hopefully, by the time that particular field is finished, it will have dried out enough for new road construction and a new crossing in to the swamp. Construction and renovation continues on the cabin and bunkhouse. Will post pictures on the website from time to time. Many thanks to Thom Jorgensen for his patience and to ending help. I thank all of you for your interest and bookings. I assure you all that it will be a good and memorable experience.
