YOUTH LONGBOW ?
« on: September 02, 2007, 08:47:00 AM »
Has anyone tried the Scout longbow from Sipsey River?  I need to purchase 2 bows for birthdays in November(ages 6 & 9) and want to stay on the affordable side.

Thanks

Can't give you any info on the Sipsey River but I can offer up Maddog.   www.tradstore.com/mta
The pup is a great bow at a great price.

My 11 year old son is on his 2nd Scout. He out grew his 1st and John from Sipsey River let him trade it in on a new one(with a few $$$$).The Scout is scary fast for such a light-poundage little bow. John will treat you right.

More info on the Sipsey River bows please. A freind of mine is looking for a longbow for his son. Looking for alternatives now that Great Northern stopped making the Lil Critter Gitter lie my son shoots.
One stick, one string and an arrow I'll fling!

My son shot a Saxson Wolverine from about age 10-13.  It is a really nice bow, but I assume they are more expensive than the Scouts.  That Scout is a great price.
