Served/Tied nock point or Brass crimp on?

I always used brass until about 10 years ago....now I would never use a brass nock. I tie them on (usually) with UNWAXED dental floss, adding bowstring wax as I go. When it is all done I heat it slightly with a lighter. I end up with a hard, smooth bump.

I hate brass nock points! The tied on nock points are so easy to adjust.

I'll tell you how Much I dislike them In starting my tie on nock.  When I was removing the Brass Nock I darn near ruined my serving. Never again, plus I know of issues, with crimping the nock too tight and wearing down the string at that point, since it is like a Fulcrum

The not is called a Nail Knot I believe is the Video I watched regarding the nock.  Key is to use a Larger diameter serving, I had some great members send me some .30 Halo and it works like a charm.

I got it perfect on my first try... That says something...

i use fastflite string material with a drop of CA glue on it. never fails and its gentle on the glove and the nocks

I use a brass nock to tune my bow and when I get good arrow flight I wrap my nocks on with dental floss/waxed.  metal  makes it easy to move the nocking point up or down.

Tie on only. I use a few different methods but for adjustable I use the nail knot or over under method.

I used painters tape to tune my bow then a tie on after I had it where I liked it. I use two one above and on bellow. Works great and easy to install.

Check out Ryan's over the rainbow under the rainbow video, not sure what he calls the knot, but very easy to learn.

It won't move them coat them with super glue.

Pretty simple I use .26 Dacron  a length nearly one foot. You then wax it down really well. Then use a series of over hand knots. Pull each knot as tight as you can get it and alternate the side. Essentially tie the first knot face the bow and cinch it very tight then tie the next one facing away from the bow and repeat. Do this until you have it the right size you want then finish it with a double over hand knot. Cut the ends and melt them down with a lighter. Then take your lighter and lightly pass it over the whole knock point. The trick is to tie them very tightly.
