Thanks guys.....I sure like the way they looks....Kinda wish I'd put them on "Cy" also...maybe someday....
David, I sure hope so bud
Chris, I believe I'll be flying into KC,MO.....and we'll be hunting around where Tracy lives a little south of Lawrence....
Danny, It's really a piece of cake. Before last year I'd never done a thing with skins, now I've done 4 bows, and a couple dozen primitive arrows, and 4-5 wing bone calls. I know how you feel though. It's more about "growing a set", to get over the intial fear of getting started. And also making sure you don't get cheap when trimming and always using a new razor sharp blade for every cut. Using a bunch on every bow is the way to go bud.
Thanks Jim, "Timex" has served me well, on that shot I severly banged hit my lower limb, that's why the bow ended up in the shape it did. But "Timex" still managed to put it where it needed to go....
Larry, I used a wet skin,Tite bond II on "Timex", and dry skin contact cement on "Cy"....I love superior bond of the contact cement, put it's hard to get the skins straight if they're not dried straight. So I went with the tite bond II on this one. I hope it holds up...
If you have an edge lifting, just touch it up with some contact cement or CA glue.
