bowfishing with the kids

I'm getting ready for a trip to the Florida panhandle and have a bowfishing trip planned. I'm wondering what kind of equipment will my kids have the best chance of success with?
I'm not worried about my teenage daughter, she's a good shot and can pull a 40# bow, but my younger ones may need something different. My 12 year old girl is pretty petite, but she shoot a bow in the upper 20's ok. My 8 year old boy will be the toughest. He may be too small for this one, but I hate to leave him out.
If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears.

Brian, my girls have been shooting fish since they were pretty young 9-10, we have had good luck with a 30# recurve and a Genisis wheely bow w no let-off @ 20#, Cajun is now making an arrow just for light weight bows called, the hornet lite, only 600grs, w a pihana fish point really flies out of there light bows. Not to great if the water is more than 3ft deep, but still alot of fun for them, Todd

Thanks for the info Todd. I thinks it's going to be a great trip for us, and it sounds like we should be OK in the equipment department.
