'Jersey Shore Eichler Style'
« on: August 04, 2013, 10:15:00 AM »
Incase no one else mentioned this yet, this week's 'Easton Bowhunting', titled, 'Jersey Shore Eichler Style' is a good trad episode.  Anyone familiar with the show knows Fred switches back and forth between a recurve and compound.  Well, he hunts with his recurve in this episode, and he visits a couple trad archery old timers who knew many of the greats, Fred Bear, Howard Hill, etc.  One of the two guys Fred visits with was one of the first 70 Pope and Young Club members.  There are a lot of great photos in the den where the visit takes place.  Anyway, try to catch it if you can.  I think it is a particularly good episode for Trad Gangers.  :archer2:

Sure looks like there are lots of deer that need to be thinned out.
For you Jersey guys, is the show an accurate depiction of urban deer populations?

The only part of the show I didn't like was the     BAITING     BAIT.  We hunt old style, woodsmanship, not who can haul the most corn. Other than that a  :clapper:   great show.

I hunt in my home state PA, baiting is illegal..  But bait is everywhere acorns cornfields soybeans etc. just sayin.. Fred is a little over the top at times but seems like a good guy. If he would only stop screaming after a kill..
