False nock left reading?

I have been shooting my Stalker Longbow for a few days now and have been getting a slight nock left reading but only sometimes. I think that this may be a combination of poor release and a false reading because of the nock height being too low. I haven't had a chance to raise the nock yet but will tinker with it soon. Does this sound right or am I way off? Thanks.

Sounds about right to me. I fight with it all the time due to sloppy release. Could try to adjust your brace height also.

I am going to raise the brace height a little right now and see if that helps. Seeing as how it only happens sometimes I think it may just just be my poor release. Thanks Gump!

Just a thought, it could be the target's surface. My excelsior target does that from time to time.

Caughtandhobble I thought that as well since I am shooting at a home made target but after some investigation and different shot angles I still wasn't convinced. I just now raised the brace height 1/4" which in turn raised the nock height and straightened my arrows out pretty good! I do not normally tune very much, I'm more of a set it and forget it kind of guy. However, since I am now using two fletch arrows, their tuning was somewhat  more noticable than in my previous experience. I think I got it licked though! Learn something every day.

Give this a try if you haven't already...   ACS bows - bare shaft tuning

If it does it sometimes but not other times using the same shaft it is the shooter. The release is inconsistent or the anchor point etc. If it happens using different shafts then the shafts may not have the same spine.
