Bowhunting in SE Michigan
« on: August 06, 2013, 11:29:00 PM »
Can anyone tell me about the bowhunting opportunities in South East Michigan. My occupation might have me heading to work in that area of the state. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thank You!

Rachel

Live here in se mich, where abouts are you headed? Hunting pressure is high! But..... If you get on the right chunk you can have great hunting!

I have been offered a position at Fermi 2, and would located virtually anywhere within driving distance. Richard was the ironworker.

I'd talk about the "good ol days" but that would only make me cry.  I grew up around Ypsi, Milan, Saline and there are really big deer down there. Sad thing is it's mostly private and no hunting signs everywhere. If you have the money and can buy a fair chunk of land along the Saline River, you'll have big bucks for the killing.

Half hour west or so of Monroe {Fermi} has better chance of finding hunting land, drive not bad.But the fishing on Lake Erie for walley and perch is a big plus if you like fishing. If you decide to come out here give me a shout, have lot of friends that work there.

Pinckney State Rec land holds some good deer and big enough you can find a piece to your self. Lived there for 4 years, then screwed my head back on straight and moved up north, lol.
