two nock point trouble

I tried shooting two nock points using the adjustable knot in the how to section with .30 halo. I felt light my release was not at smooth and my shoot accuracy suffered.  Should I try a different material?  My serving of choice is 20# test monofilament.

I have had the opposite results. Make sure your bottom nock is not too tight against the arrow nock. And yes, I would try some serving thread. Monofilament seems to me that it could cut through your string serving much too easily. As far as a poorer release, unless the nocks are much bigger than what you had, I don't see how it could make much of a difference. Nock pinch would be my guess as to that cause. Ymmv.

My serving is monofilament.  I was using the halo to tie the nocking point.

Felt like my tab was hanging up on the nocking point and causing my top finger to come off late.

How big did you make them? Unless absolutely huge I can't see how they would make any difference in release.

I use a BW three under tab. I usually have that piece of leather against the nock. Having it against the nock seems to cause friction.

Was it with one shooting session or consistent with several?

Seems like more of a nock point pinch. If shooting three under with two nock points they would tend to tighten down on the arrow nock as the string is drawn back putting the arrow nock in a bind. I don't shoot three under but seems TO ME that I would remove the bottom nock point and see how it feels.

I wouldnt remove the lower point, just twist the two apart a bit.

I took it off and added a dental floss nocking point. Kept the upper nock as is. Will give it another try.

Don't make them tight to the top and Bottom a little space is needed when at full draw

A pair of scissors will take care of that in short order. At least it did on mine.

The waxed floss worked. Mint was all I had. I did a mini serving the same length as the index finger tab. Put my tab right on top of it. Can't even feel it but it keeps the arrow from slipping.

I like my finger right under the arrow. The tab of leather works great for protecting my finger.

khard, I'm curious as to why not. I don't shoot 3-under so I don't understand. I would think that your index finger would hold the arrow up against the upper nock when drawn. Am I overlooking something?

The arrow can be seen on slow motion video dropping close to 1/2 inch along the serving upon release.
