is it possible?
« on: January 19, 2007, 10:20:00 PM »
I have a take down recurve with snakeskin on the limbs. The skins are starting to peel back from the edges. What would be the best way to remove the skins completely? Is this something that can even be done?

Also the limbs are heavier then I would prefer and would like to have some weight shaved off. Is there anyone out there who would be able to remove the skins and trim some weight off the bow?

This is a modern recure with glass on the limbs.

Trying to see what options I have at this point.

Thanks !!

Depends on the bow. Who's the bowyer? You may be able to get some weight off and the limbs refinished all at once. Call them and ask.
