Vintage Works owners - performance question.
« on: September 05, 2013, 09:06:00 AM »
Vintage Works has a '59 replica for sale with the knife set. It had a 4 arrow average of 190.25 FPS with 9.11 grains. That is very very good performance. The bow is 58" and 45# @ 28". I am interested in a 62".

Does anyone have a 62" and experienced similar excellent performance? How is the bow after the shot and how is the draw?

Thanks
Gil

Hi Gil,  I have no experience with a 62" version but...... I have a VW 59' replica that is 60" and is only about a month old. I have not chrono'd it; however it shoots on par with my other bows that I consider fast. My bow draws smooth back to 28" and is stable pre and post letting the string go. I think a 62" version would be very very sweet drawing.

Thanks Joe, beautiful bow.

I am in sell mode but I am going to have to give one of his bows and knife sets a go.

Thanks again

The performance on these bows are amazing. I've got the 58" 48@28 version.

I contacted them and they also make them in 62" and 64".

I have to decide on woods, length and weight. I want to get the compass inlay too.

I was thinking ebony and burl. Their pictures go by so fast it is hard to catch the woods in their gallery.

Gil,
You can stop the slide show and sit back and admire the photo for awhile...I'll go there and check it out again to see what I did...I just know it can be done.....Somehow
