If you loose enough arrows, eventually you will lose one...

I had a Chesapeake Bay Retriever that would find my arrows.  A friend had one of her pups and was impressed with my dog, so he used his dog to find arrows.  His dog would find the arrow, then chew it up-wood or aluminum.  He knew where his arrows were!!!

For 3-d shooting I made up this little arrow scratcher out of an old blunt, some heavy wire tempered, and an old alumimun shaft. I carry it in my quiver along with the other arrows. It works at home too and has saved me and my friends many arrows. Most of my shooting companions carry something similar too.

I do use the barefoot and sock routine in the back yard too. Gets a little cold and wet certain times of the years.
