Rule of Half
« on: September 20, 2013, 06:17:00 PM »
A thought...... Answered a post recently about nock hght.  Clarified answer , I hope.  Last 30 years at least with every new bow it has been the same process.

Nock Height.  Never shot below 3/8" never over over 5/8". Half it and start at 1/2", see what bare shaft does.

Brace Height. Manufactures recommendation. Example; 8 1/4" to 9" Half that...8 3/8,  See what bare shaft does.

Rule of Half. You all do the same? Similar?  Completely different?

I pretty much tune by this rule also but, don't bare shaft. I predominately shoot AD Trad Lites so, I just change the point weight 'til I get good flight.
