Bow wood choices

This is always a tough one. I'm choosing woods for a new trinity falcon, which is a longbow with a recurve pistol grip. Would love to hear opinions, thoughts, pictures of woods. I'm looking at these ideas:
1) Tigerwood (goncalo alves) riser footed with wenge. Tigerwood limb veneers footed with wenge.
2)Cocobolo riser footed with ebony. Tigerwood veneers
3)Cocobolo riser footed with tigerwood, tigerwood limb veneers footed with cocobolo.

Of those choices, I would pick number 2 but it is a personal thing. If you really like the footed limbs, go for it. To me, I think it takes away from the look (too busy). I say that yet I offer it also....as they say, to each their own.
good luck, Bigjim

I'd go with #2. Cocobolo is my favorite wood in a bow. I don't care for footed limbs. I have seen a couple bows with wood arrow inlays on the limbs and those were very attractive to me.

I really like tigerwood. This one has bamboo limbs. But, my other last two have had Birdseye maple and I really like the look of that as well.

From your choices I'd say #2. I personally really like bocote, especially for limb veneers. The crazy grain pattern makes a great "camo" limb. Saw an Acadian TD longbow a while back that was bocote footed with ebony with bocote limbs. Possibly my favorite bow I've seen as far as looks go.
