I have used Core4 merino wool tops and bottoms in late November and December to stay warm in New England. I also used the 1/4 zip tops this September during a Colorado elk bowhunt for temp ranges of 45-90 degrees and stayed odor free. I also used a KUIU shirt with same results. Merino wool is great stuff.

My preference is KUIU.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Filson is my second choice.

I've used Ibex, Icebreakers, SmartWool, Minus33, and FirstLite. All are excellent. If you order what size you wear normally it will fit snug. I order a size up for sweaters and the like to layer under.
