That is possible. I usually know when I start wearing out the inside of my index finger. Evidently when I torque the string my served on nock point drags across my index finger. I don't put much pressure on the string with my ring finger. The index and middle finger do most of the work. I just know the probable cause when I start seeing funky arrow flight. Hope this helps ya out!
