Liberty Bows Chief Super Elite
« on: September 23, 2013, 06:37:00 PM »
Couldn't belief Allen could make a more beautiful bow than the Edges he built for my fiance & I, but he did and it shoots as well as it looks. Not only do Allen's bows shoot great, but they are works of art.

Zicote riser, yew limbs with tiger stripe myrtle veneers and fiddleback maple in the overlays. 51#@28" 66"

I have had a couple of Chief's from Allen in the past. They are great bows. I love the grip on your fiance's Chief. What a great looking bow.

Actually it's my bow, I had Allen build her a very beautiful Edge with black myrtle veneers that she hunted elk with this season, she in turn bought me this one, I just had to pick out the wood & specs. The grip is the same as the Edge, this bow shoots very well. Pictures really don't show the detail, it's really unbelieveably beautiful.

Yup, another beauty from the Liberty stable. Allen is a true craftsman never seen an ugly Boice built bow.

Great looking bow shdwhwk. I have an Edge that has a permanent peg on my bow rack. Allen is a great bowyer that more people ought to check out!

Thanks, it is absolutely beautiful. Was shooting it last night, it's amazing how it shoots both arrow setups as my 66" 51# Contender-29"CX 150 w/145gr and 66" 52# Edge-30" CX 250 w/175gr very well. It's a very forgiving design, smooth draw and though slightly slower than the Edge, shoots fast.

All 6 of our Liberty Bows great shooting, beautiful works of art

That is a screen saver worthy good looking bow that deserves one more run!  I too would find a soft, moss covered tree to lean it against... After seeing your bow I emailed Allen about Ziricote.  He said that you got some really exceptional stuff; it's very hard to find any that looks like that.  I love my Liberty Bows, and you've got a really special one there.

Thanks Chase,

Too beautiful to put a quiver on, been learning how to shoot it "barebow". Something I've struggled with in the past. But after a couple months, my shooting has really improved and it's become my favorite. The Chief is a great design as is the Edge & Contender.

Allen is my go to bowyer, truly one of the best and a great person

You should see the Contender he just built for my soon-to-be wife (this Saturday)....I'll post pictures when I have some time.
