Just got a bw sax recurve. I know, not a longbow. But sure love my widow.

Ooohhh I had a chance on a plga that I passed on and have been kicking myself ever since.  Beautiful.

And sparky, what's the riser material on yours? No red, no phenolic looks like. Quilted maple limbs?

Pics to come later guys, but I just needed to tell ya'll cause I know I'm among people who will understand.

Got the bow yesterday, just in time for my 40th birthday  :)   This is my first custom, exactly to my specs and choices.  I only had a chance to put literally 2 arrows through it after getting it set up.  It was pitch black out and sleeting, and I could not see the block target that I have set up (with a 12 ft retaining wall behind it as a backstop).

Could not see the arrow, but I've launched so many thousands of shots at this target from this spot I was confident.  Anyhow, let loose with the first one and was rewarded with the soft thunk of the arrow hitting the target.  No handshock, and only mild vibration.

Dropped the string on the second arrow, and immediately heard the unmistakable sound of my arrow shaft slapping the other one.  Went to go get the arrows out of the target, and they were both there, dead center, one with the nock busted off!

Not bad for having no light, brand new bow and getting iced up solid from the sleet  :)

Roger and John at Black Widow provided outstanding service and guidance.  I cannot comment enough how pleased I am with their service, and product.  This will not be the last Black Widow that I order!

I sure enjoy my PLX!  Had it for a couple years now and like it more every time I shoot it.  I bought it new, and it was money well-spent!

Here's my PLX that my wife got for me. I love this bow like no other, it just hits where I want to on a regular basis. She's 66" 48# Olive Ash.

Rat make sure to let me know when you get tired of your new PLX  :biglaugh:
