Anybody shoot a SBD string on a Schafer Silvertip?

How did it shoot? Could you tell any difference in how quiet it shot?

Yes, noticeably quieter. As far as performance I couldn't tell by the eyes. I used Hushpuppies with the SBD.... very nice combo.

Thanks Forggy! Buy the way how many bows have you had over the years? I thought I was bad but I think you got me beat!   :biglaugh:  I should let my wife talk to you! Sure would make me look better!

Yep.  They shoot great on all my Tips.  Actually, I have them on all my bows.

I had a Schafer and when I put a sbd string on it it really came alive it was such a dramatic change you would not think it was the same bow. I have a crony and the speed really jumped. I put beaver balls on string and that was all.    Widow

Works great! My Schafer is a LB so no noise anyway.

folks are these the FF only silver tips or wondering with the SBD padded loops will they work on NON-FF silver tips (and other bows)

My tip was a nonfastflight I had not trouble at all and would not shoot that bow without the sbd on it.   Widow

non fast flight bows being able to safely shoot a 8-strand fast flight string is amazing,,,, I agree about never going back a stock string its like discovering rocket fuel works in the truck and costs the same.

I shoot my a Silvertip with an SBD string. If is FF and IMO shoots quieter and probably faster, but that's hard to tell without a chrono.  ~Steve
