Several years ago a younger version of myself snuck out before day light to a stand I had hung weeks earlier. In my hand was a Martin "hunter" recurve and a quiver full of beamans tipped with muzzy phantom 125gr broadheads. Shortly after sun up a beautiful doe came into my shooting lane giving me a 10-15 yard shot. My arrow hit home and after tracking her I claimed my prize. I'm always rather low on play money and didn't want to spend a few hundred bucks on mounting a doe. I kept her feet as I sometimes do (don't know why) but I had them up drying in the rafters of my dads barn. I took a hoof and made a necklace out of it, later on, I used a ban saw and small drill to add some pieces of shed antler to it. It's nothing fancy, but it's my trophy from my first trad deer, and it cost me prob under $10 to make. I happened upon it today and thought I'd share it. Has anybody else used something from a deer to make an unusual trophy? If so please share.
