Don't forget to practice

ok folks, with deer season upon most of us, and we all want to hunt as much as we can, don't forget to practice! You don't want to finally have that ONE come by and miss him because you haven't shot any practice arrows because you've been to busy hunting!

On evenings when I don't have enough time to head to the woods, I practice some in the back yard.

Also, I always take a couple blunts with me and once I'm settled into my treestand, I take a couple practice shots at leaves/stumps around my stand.  It's a real confidence builder when you're on stand and drill the leaf you were looking at.

Good point. I really concentrate and try and make my first cold shot of the day hit the kill zone too. The first one is the one that counts!

In sling a single arrow two or three times when I get to the farm before getting on my bike to head to the stand ( it's a long walk). I also shoot three arrows every morning before heading out the door before work. Always at different ranges from my back deck. Doing this this year has really boosted my skill and confidence.

Good reminder.
