Been out once and it just confirmed my stance that hunting is a cool weather sport. Did see deer though, just don't like dealing w/ the mosquitos.
Have observed some young bucks opening scrapes. They seem to be ready for the rut!
Now if the weather will just cooperate......

I saw a doe and her yearling this evening with the cooler weather finally setting in. I'm on the ground in my blind and the windows are too high for my seat. I could have had a shot at the yearling but I waited for momma and she have me two chances and for the second I went to take it but standing up she saw me and darted off. I called her back to about 40 yards but she was done with me today. Better luck tomorrow.

My son and I went out Saturday for most of the day and did not see anything but tree rats. Hoping it cools down and stops raining soon. Good luck and stay safe.

The weather broke this afternoon and with light westerly winds I was able to hunt one of my favorite ridges. Saw 6 does in one group but no bucks. I am sure they will be after those does in a few weeks. Good luck to all you Michigan bow benders.

Well my vacation is over . No deer yet and hope to get out this next weekend . I have not been seeing much sign , just a few tracks , no rubs and no scrapes yet , I think the deer are in the standing corn fields . Some cooler weather would be nice .

I'll start hunting later this week or the weekend. Weather and wind dependent. This past weekend looked like terrible hunting, hot and humid or rain. I don't mind a little rain, but it'll wash out blood in a hurry when it's strong and consistent. I decided to get the fall house work going before hunting starts getting good!!

Haven't had anything within range yet the few times I've gotten to go, but I've been seeing some new rubs popping up in my rut areas.
I'll be sticking close to home tonight, but I have a 4 day weekend coming up, heading up after work Thursday. I usually have good luck (with sightings) around now, killed most of my deer within a week of my oldest daughter's birthday. (November 6th)
Good luck to all before the Orange Army invades!
