Martin X 200 Opinion Needed

I want a new Martin X 200 40 pounder to hunt with. It seems to be a real good deal. Can anyone tell me anything I'm missing, ie. bad about them?

there not bad bows, they are entry level. checkmate falcon would be a better bow for the money. but there is a long wait for them.

I started shooting traditional with one and it continues to serve me well.  I would recommend it.  The only caution is that it will not accept the fast flight type strings, but mine shoots well with a padded loop flemish string that I had made for it.

Good entry level bow,but for $320, I would look at the classifieds or put an ad in the same to see what came up for used. Good luck!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Thanks, all! $288 delivered to my door & he has one in stock. It's mine as soon as it arrives. As for the used, thanks, but my 38# Grizzly from '66 and 45 pounder from '72 will remain as my "well used" bows! I try to shoot the 38 every day, and don't miss very many days!

38Griz, I have had one for years it's a good bow. Mine shoots well,& it is better than a lot of the bows in it's price range. Frank

Wow. When I went back and read my own reply a few hours later, it was confusing. I bought a new Martin X 200 LH 40#. It was 288 including shipping. I thought that was/is a good deal. Thanks for all the comments and input! What a great forum. 38Griz (Soon might be 40Martin!)
