I prefer a quiver mounted on my bow.  I just shoot better with one on for some reason. Sometimes I will use a cat quiver if I'm ground hunting or turkey hunting.  I like the cat quiver because its out of the way when I move through the woods.  I have to take the quiver off my back to get an arrow back in, but I'll take that trade off.

Thanks for all the input gents, dig me some learn'n.

Only thing I have now is my home made leather back quiver, it does ok but the arrows just sit loose inside & will everyone fall out if I bend over & they tend to snag on briars & twigs, & me being a clumsy dont help.

Love the thoughts of a bow quiver keeep'n everything in place & fixed fast, but dont know how it'll effect my shoot'n, mite actualy help...need all of that I can get.
It's a twang thang, some people git it, some people dont.

I think I have used everything over the years, back quiver, catquiver, side quiver, bow quiver. I shoot a longbow and my preference is for a Boa small fry bowquiver. It is the most functional for me. My second choice would be a regular Hill style backquiver.

This is such a personal thing, so try some different options.  I have a leather back quiver that the arrows pull out of the bottom, like a safari tuff.  I have never hunted with it, but target and 3d with it.  I have a light bow quiver that I use on my heavier risered bows.  I like having the arrow right with the bow.  When I bought two really light bows, the quiver and arrows threw off the balance, so I got a cat quiver II.  I like that option a lot as well. I bought both back style quiver used, so trying different things does not have to be super expensive.  Have fun playing around.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
