Going to definitely try the push up idea. I'm back to work sadly but I can't afford to lose my job just gonna try and take it easy and won't shoot for at least a month I guess.. Sadly that means the end to my season cause I vowed to not hunt with a crossbow again which really bums me out... :(

I've had this happen twice - once too much shooting and once bad form. Both times I used ice first and heating pad later, and didn't shoot until the pain went away.
Also, make sure your form is correct. One of my injuries was from tinkering with form and I was using an elbow in made-up-draw (mostly curious), and it caused about a 10 day layoff.
Good luck with the doc.

I was told that form didn't have a whole lot to do with instinctive and traditional archery .. Maybe I should look more into that I've never in my life assessed my form ..
