Bow Quiver for Recurves and Longbows....What Do You Like?

I like Selway quivers on my 3 piece bows. they are lightweight and hold 5 arrows. I generally use a back quiver with my longbow, but I do have an Eagle Flight 4 arrow quiver that I use on it at times, especially when it gets cold enough that I have enough layers on to look like the Michelin Man. The EFA quiver is so light it has little to no effect on bow balance, which is definitely a consideration on a lightweight bow like a longbow. I'd also recommend the model with the totem. I made my own totem from a piece of graphite shaft. My quiver is the older one though and the newer mounting straps may be more secure. Mine tended to work apart, so the totem eliminates that issue.

I prefer my Bowmate side quiver for most situations, but own a few bows that benefit from the added mass of a quiver.  Thunderhorn strap on are great and so are the Selway slide on.  The Selway slide on cant be removed once bow is strung, but once in place is very solid and dampens vibration.  Haven't tried EFA but they seem excellent also.  Kanati would also be another good choice no doubt.

If you're looking for one that's lightweight.....EFA is the way to go. I have tried every bow quiver available except the one from big Jim. I don't like a lot of clutter and unnecessary weight on my longbow. That said, I still prefer a back quiver for hunting, but keep the EFA around just in case.

I've tried about everything and I really like Big Jim's quiver for a strap on and Kanati for a bow with inserts.

I posted earlier in this thread the bow quiver I'm using, a G5. I was able to post pictures of the bow without the quiver and the quiver "twist-tied" to a limb. This quiver is very low profile and quiet. I'd like it a tad more if the hood was a 1/2" deeper.

I like this quiver because I don't have to push my broadheads through foam or plastic. The tips of the Helix single bevels are held in place by a semi-hard rubber coating in the bottom of the hood.

You can see the quick detach post on the bow's riser.  The quiver comes with a screw-in attachment accessory for fastening to tree limbs or the bole. However, the twist ties are more portable though.

Another vote for the EFA quivers. This season have had a 3 arrow model on my Kanati LB and in carrrying and shooting almost don't know it's there.

be sure and take into account the length of your arrows before you make a choice.  Shorter arrows are not a big issue, but if you use longer arrows, the location of the quiver and positioning of the arrows can be a deal breaker.

Anybody know of a bow quiver that has enough room between the bow and the quiver to use your hand to hold the bow? I'm left handed, left eye dominant but shoot off the left side of the riser like a right hander. I'd like to find a bow quiver that would fit on the right side of the bow with enough room for my hand to hold the bow.

I use a 3 arrow EFA quiver on my Wes Wallace Mentor. It is light enough that it is hard to notice the quiver on the bow.
