i would say to start em as soon as they show any interest. this young man, now 11, started just before he turned 2. this picture was at age 3. he now has more bows than his dad. arrows to, most of which were mine.

"Dad, I need to sit down I'm shaking to bad" my 12 year old son the first time he shot at a deer with his bow.

I've found with the little guys, a good test is cut a small circle in a piece of paper. Have them walk up to it in front of them and look through it. Make it small enough thay have to use one eye. Several times over, usually elimatates the issue. But that can change as they grow older. Day they can pick up a bow and follow you is good
Payton my grandson at Comptons this year. He had a great time! Not to mention me :D
