Saturday was a nice day. Since Michigan State was once named "little brother" by a rabid U-M sports writer fanboy many decades ago, I went to check on "the big brother", at the assisted living home where he now watches college football. You see, "big brothers" best days are behind him now and he suffers from Boschembecher-heimers. While he has his normal day to day faculties, he lives his college football in the distant past. "Big brother" is totally unaware that MSU has owned U-M for many years now.
After a polite exchange with "big brother", I had the staff change his diaper and put on a green and white diaper on him. Then I wheeled over a black and white TV and had the staff put on old, grainy highlight films of the glory days of U-M. I believe Ford was still President in the U-M glory days, although President Ford did go to U-M.
I left shortly before the second half began of this Saturdays game. "Big brother" was so happy, watching the old highlight clips, clapping and singing "hail to the victors" that he didn't even realize that he was living glory days long past.
As I left quietly, I closed the door behind me. Again, "Big brother" looked so happy with his maize and blue wig, rambling on about Woody Hayes, that I didn't have the heart to tell him MSU was king now. It was kind of cute.
Afterwards, went hunting for the last 2 hours of light.
Since I didn't see the end, can anyone let me know how the game ended?
GO GREEN!!!!!! GO STATE!!!!! :D :p
