No digital pics here either. I was Combat Engineer then Air Cavalry 1978-1984 in IA ANG. Like others I have nothing but incredible respect for those who have deployed and those who have fought.

I have a special bond with the one National Cemetery in our state. It's in my home town, and the Superintendent's son was one of my best friends in school. We spent a lot of time there (he lived there) and ended up playing taps for the military funerals during most of the years we were in school.

I'm also proud to say my family history also goes back a few years. My grandfather served in WW I. My Uncle served in WW II. My Dad served in Korea, and was seriously wounded at the Chosin Reservoir. My cousin served in Viet Nam. All but my cousin are now buried in that National Cemetery. I was the first generation in nearly one hundred years that didn't have to go overseas carrying a rifle.

My daughters have chosen not to serve in the military and as a dad I'm okay with that, although I'd have been proud as hell if they chose to join up. I'd also have been scared to death at the same time. However they do understand that freedom isn't free, and they've been to those gravesites, where the cost is most obvious.

To all those who have served, and to all those who have family serving,

Thank You.

No pics in digital, navy 72-94. Glad to be among such distinguished company. Navy was a family thing for me. I had 2 uncles, a grandfather, two cousins and now my son in Pearl.
Thanks to all of you.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

2000-2004 USAF Engineer.  Injured in 03 in the sand box.  Now a proud veteran.  On  a side bar it was the proudest day of my life boarding a c130 in Fl.  This little frail old man shook my hand and congratulated me welcoming me into the VFW.  Little did I know how much life would change just months later.  God bless this country and those who protect it.  Carry on

Army Jan 67 Dec 69, was a helicopter crew chief, got lucky, was sent to Germany.

At Ft Rucker our platoon Sgt got drunk and was busted down to private for his shenanigans.

I had a year of ROTC so they pressed me into service as the acting platoon Sargent.

I had Gang members from LA, Black panthers from Chicago and everything in between in my platoon, a real I opener on how the other half lives for this backwoods ridge runner from the hills of TN.

The picture distorted a little when I scanned it, I wasn't that thin. Back then, most of us were very trim, fast food places were non existent at the time.

These pictures are amazing! My sincere thanks to all who have served from me and my wife.

I went to Poland and Ukraine last fall. Saw Auschwitz, Berkenau death camps... demonic engineering by demonic people.

The bravery of those who serve/served and go to foreign countries to deal with these kinds of things are just remarkable. Thanks again and God bless all of you.  :notworthy:    :notworthy:    :notworthy:
