Great day in the woods
« on: November 09, 2013, 06:38:00 PM »
Spent a great day in the woods today. Got access to a new place and today was the first time I have hunted it.  I have had a trail cam up for a few weeks so I knew it held promise.  The problem is the guy that gave me permission dose not have a lot of land so my stand locations are limited.  I procrastinated over what to due and ended up using by Double Bull Ground Bland.  I sat from 6am to 3 today and saw six different bucks one a very nice 10 point with great width but short tines that may score in the low 120's.  I passed on him twice.  Interestingly I did not see a single doe.  Not sure I like that fact.     If you are wondering why I would pass this deer twice at 10 yards its because I saw a  absolute monster there  WED when I went to pul the card out of my cam.   I had him broadside at 15v yards (in my street clothes and no bow).

That looks like a good place to hunt!
