I am a total noob to traditional hunting and a lot of the gear. I could tune any compound and talk technical stuff with the best of that group...but I am literally not even a week into owning my first 'big boy' bow...what exactly are ILF risers, and what are some other types...sorry if I sound like a tool but I am totally clueless when it comes to a lot of the terms in traditional archery, thanks guys....

ILF means International Limb Fitting. It is a limb attachment design that is universal for manufacturers adhere to so limbs from various companies will fit other companies risers. It is a name for an industry standard design.

ILF allows you to adjust the tiller and stack point of the limbs custom to your preference and draw length.

They also come in different riser lengths, 13" 15" 17" all the way to 25". Makes for a longer or shorter bow with the same set of limbs. You can really get a bow to "fit" your needs. Do search on here, there is a bunch of info that can help you.

The limbs generally are in short medium and long lengths so for instance on a 19" Titan III riser a pair of shorts gives you a 60" bow, mediums 62" bow and longs a 64" bow.
