Sounds like Dan has you covered. A lot of it is subjective and also heavily dependent on bow design. Some guys like a pull through feeling of smoothness so go for longer bows, some guys don't mind a little build in weight at the end to create a bit of a draw stop. My draw is much like yours- right about 29.25", and I have bows from 68" down to 58". The 58" bow is an exception and is designed to be smooth at a short length. Also, consider that by going a bit shorter and approaching the stack point of a given bow design you're actually getting the maximum performance out of the bow. Dan seems to have you covered, I don't see why with a longer working limb that you couldn't shoot 58 or even 60" if the bow is made for it. Also unless you have real big mitts I would think finger pinch wouldn't be much of an issue unless you were going 58 or less. That being said, I mainly enjoy my longer bows for the overall mass and stability vs the shorter stuff. For a design like the Whip I prefer 64" or more but that doesn't mean 60 isn't gonna do the job in the right hands. The 58" bow I have now and love is a forward handle design and I think that helps greatly when going shorter. Some bowyers like Sixby or Kirk will likely chime in with some real knowledge.
