Shelf Wear
« on: September 11, 2007, 11:26:00 AM »
I seem to be having some shelf wear issues, and I was wondering if it is related to nock point height?

Any help would be appreciated...

You have to describe a little more.  Front?  Back?  Edge?  How long has the rest been used (# arrows).  What are your fletchings looking like?  Is your arrow flight good?  What material is it?  What is the strike plate looking like?

With much of this, many can help.

It could be the nock point is too low causing the arrow to bounce off the shelf.  I've had this happen to me and I raised the nock point up until the wear quit happening and as a bonus the arrow flight improved.
